once upon a time in the west.

Visuals from our trip to Iceland’s Vestfirðir.

It doesn’t get any more remote and mystic than this in Iceland. Surrounded by the
ocean and the steep mountains while threading the roads along the seashore. You
come across more animals and fewer people than you’re used to. The howling
wind also reminds you where you are and doesn’t kindly welcome you to his turf.

too slow for love

I made this illustration for a little game at a country wedding.

There were six of these cards with different events written on them and random friends
got on stage and drew one card in an envelope for them to execute for the newlyweds
in the near future. Some got more enthusiastic on stage than others with their event
and invited not only the couple but everybody at the wedding along.

Then there was one specially made for the newlyweds.

My pens and this paper are mixing like oil and water. And when you’re trying to write
your name in a poiseful way, that ain’t the best scenario.

prep work

August 3rd, 2010

Set up for the day. Grinding on this cement block and prepping it for a new printing.
The old image was a bit too jaded from the last silkscreen session. The sheet-grinder
gave it a heavy weathered surface the first round which was actually kind of nice but
a bit too hard to control. Here the block is ready for some paint coat.
