This was a collaboration between Iceland Academy of the Arts and the Reykjavík University. Our group was assigned to work with Örvi, a small company working with disabled people and preparing them for joining the general workforce. Örvi's main focus is on plastic production f.x. food wrappings. We wanted to make something that people would be able to use without throwing it away after one use. We came up with the idea of a 2 piece plastic computer bag with the strap binding the bag together. Different textures were pressed into the plastic to make it also more sturdy. We were very conscious of keeping the design simple so the good people at Örvi would be able to produce them with out any complications. The bag holds a 15 inch computer and is being sold in Reykjavík Bags. If interested you can also send me an e-mail. Erla Gerđur, Erna, Pétur & Eyţór were all on the team where Stefán Pétur and Kristján Örn provided guidelines.
